The Consumer Insight Analyst at Walt Disney World will contribute to the Theme Park Team within the Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) organization. Responsibilities include conducting all phases of custom research projects (needs identification, methodology design, data collection, analysis, and presentation). The role requires proficiency in quantitative research, data analysis tools (SPSS, Excel, SAS), and effective communication of insights to influence business decisions. The analyst will manage multiple projects, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to long-term strategic planning focused on maximizing guest experience and profitability.
Must have:
  • 1+ year relevant research experience
  • Quantitative research analysis
  • Consumer data analysis & actionable insights
  • Data querying & analysis (SPSS syntax)
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAS, or SPSS
  • Exceptional communication skills
Good to have:
  • Fluency in SPSS and Tableau
  • Theme park/hospitality experience
  • Full research process experience (design to reporting)
  • Master's degree in business/data analytics

The Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) organization informs strategy development through relevant data analytics, integration, and insights. We provide consumer centric solutions through deep understanding of all relevant audiences.

You will reside within the Walt Disney World Consumer Insight Team, and specifically the Theme Park Team. This team explores commercial opportunities and provides guidance for long-term planning strategy with a strong focus on operational performance, and with the goal of maximizing the guest experience within our theme parks to build long-term consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability. Integration and interpretation of data, insight synthesis, and communicating results in an influential way are required to work with partners to solve questions. You will need to handle multiple assignments at once, across varied partner groups and complex businesses.

You will report to the Manager, Consumer Insight.

What you will do:

The Consumer Insight Analyst will be responsible for various phases of custom/ad hoc research projects, including but not limited to needs identification, methodology design (hands-on), data collection, querying and analysis, and presentation of results using the proper techniques along the way that provide insights and actionable results to address the business opportunities.

  • Create fact-based insights – Test hypotheses and build models to produce objective and clear conclusions.
  • Handle multiple assignments – Oversee multiple projects at once, across varied partner groups and complex businesses.
  • Solve complex problems – Integrate and interpret data and insight to solve business questions and identify opportunities.
  • Exhibit curiosity – Gather a holistic understanding of the strategic context to ask meaningful questions and inform impactful solutions.
  • Team up with partners – Develop and grow relationships with partners to build influence, manage external vendors, and lead specific work-streams and cross-function deliverables.
  • Tell stories – Communicate findings in an easily understandable way that is actionable for the business.

What you will need:

Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a related field of research (e.g. marketing/sales, market research, business analytics, strategic planning, new product development)

  • Experience in quantitative research analysis
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating consumer data and developing actionable insights
  • Experience writing syntax to query and analyze data such as in SPSS
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, SAS, or SPSS (can develop and manipulate complex spreadsheets and data sets)
  • Exceptional communicator (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and high intellectual curiosity
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Flexible and nimble-can easily and quickly adapt to changing priorities

What will set you apart:

  • Fluency in SPSS and Tableau report design
  • Experience in theme parks, hospitality, or entertainment industries
  • Previous experience conducting all aspects of the research process, from design through reporting final results.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field, including, but not limited to: Research, Economics, Cognitive Science, Journalism, Business, Engineering

​Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree in business and/or data analytics field of study

Additional Information:

This position will be located in Celebration, FL.

This is a Full-Time position.
