The Immigration Coordinator at DNEG manages immigration applications, including drafting letters, completing forms, and liaising with government officials. Responsibilities include administrative support for work permits, visa applications, data collection, and system management. The coordinator also produces reports, creates letter templates, and maintains employee information in the immigration tracker. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about the Canadian immigration system and visual effects industry.
Must have:
  • 1+ year legal experience (law clerk, paralegal etc.)
  • Canada/US immigration law experience
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Le coordonnateur en immigration est un membre essentiel de l'équipe d’immigration de DNEG. Sous la supervision de notre avocat en immigration, le coordonnateur en immigration sera responsable de gérer les demandes d’application, dont rédiger les lettres destinées au Ministère de l’immigration, compléter les formulaires gouvernementaux et être le point de contact avec les agents d’immigration gouvernementaux. Le coordonnateur sera le premier point de contact avec les employés lors de leur processus d’immigration, alors les habiletés interpersonnelles et la volonté d’offrir un excellent service à la clientèle sont primordiales.
Plus précisément, le coordonnateur en immigration fournira un soutien administratif pour le suivi des demandes de permis de travail et de visa, la collecte de données et la gestion du système d’information. En outre, le coordinateur en immigration sera chargé de produire des rapports et de les tenir à jour, de créer des modèles de lettres et de veiller à ce que les renseignements sur les employés soient consignés dans le système de suivi d’immigration.
Nous recherchons une personne organisée, créative, motivée et capable d’avoir une vue d’ensemble. Cette personne aura un grand souci du détail, sera analytique et souhaitera connaître encore mieux les rouages du système canadien de l’immigration et de l’industrie des effets visuels.
Exigences :
  • Au moins 1 an d'expérience en tant qu'auxiliaire juridique, parajuriste, coordinateur de cas ou administrateur dans un cadre juridique
  • Expérience précédente avec le droit de l'immigration au Canada ou aux États-Unis
  • Bonne connaissance du français et de l’anglais, à l'écrit et à l'oral
  • Diplôme collégial ou universitaire, ou expérience dans un poste administratif
  • Excellente connaissance de la suite Microsoft Office
  • Précision et attention au détail irréprochables
  • Aptitude à traiter l’information confidentielle avec professionnalisme
  • Solides aptitudes en relations interpersonnelles et en communication

Key Purpose of the Job : 
The Immigration Coordinator is an essential member of the immigration team at DNEG. Working under the supervision of our in-house immigration lawyer, the Immigration Coordinator will manage a case-load of immigration applications, including drafting submission letters to immigration officials, completing government forms, and liaising with immigration officers from the federal and provincial governments. The coordinator will be the employee’s primary contact throughout the immigration process, so strong interpersonal and customer service skills are a must. 
Additionally, the Immigration Coordinator will provide administrative support relating to work permits tracking, visa applications and compliance, data collection, and information system management. In addition, the Immigration Coordinator will be responsible for running and keeping reports up to date, creating letter templates, and ensuring that employee’s information is maintained in the immigration tracker.
We are looking for someone that is thorough, creative, inquisitive, motivated and able to see the bigger picture. Someone who is analytical and eager to learn about both the Canadian immigration system and the visual effects industry.
Job Requirements :
  • At least 1-year experience as a law clerk, paralegal, case coordinator, or administrator in a legal setting
  • Previous experience with Canada or US immigration law
  • Strong language skills in both English and French, written and spoken
  • College or University diploma or previous experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Impeccable accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
