We are are looking for a Creative Director with a strong background in 2D branding, specifically within the retail and shopper marketing space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing compelling visual strategies that enhance brand presence and drive consumer engagement. This role will involve leading a team of designers, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and steering creative projects from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire the creative team to produce high-quality 2D designs for retail and shopper marketing campaigns. Set the vision and direction for creative projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and objectives.
- Brand Development: Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity for the brand, including logos, packaging, point-of-sale materials, and promotional assets. Ensure that all designs reinforce brand messaging and resonate with target audiences.
- Campaign Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and product teams to create compelling campaigns and shopper experiences. Translate marketing strategies into visually engaging designs that drive foot traffic and sales.
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end creative process, including brainstorming, concept development, design execution, and final delivery. Manage timelines, resources, and budgets effectively. Stay current with industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to ensure innovative and relevant creative outputs. Incorporate emerging design trends and technologies into projects.
- Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate and present creative concepts to internal stakeholders and clients. Incorporate feedback and make revisions to ensure satisfaction and project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a creative role with a focus on 2D branding for retail and shopper marketing. Proven track record of successful projects and campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Skills:
- Expertise in 2D design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of 2D design work related to retail and shopper marketing.
- Excellent conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a design team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
