Job Description

Lead and deploy a team of subject matter experts responsible for working with customers to provide trusted technical and solution advice to accelerate workload migration and remove technical impediments. Responsibilities include leading a team of pre-sales engineers, discovering and assessing customer requirements, presenting demonstrations of Google Cloud services, addressing technical objections, motivating and managing a team of engineering professionals, maintaining technical expertise, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging directly with prospects when needed. The role requires strong technical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as experience in people management and sales processes. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Must have:
  • 10+ years cloud native architecture experience
  • Leadership experience (people management)
  • Fluent Portuguese communication
  • Lead pre-sales engineering team
  • Customer requirements assessment
  • Technical objection handling
Good to have:
  • Software lifecycle experience
  • Experience with sales processes and account mapping
  • Pre-Sales Manager or technical people manager experience
  • Experience presenting to executive leaders

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Portuguese to interact with stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with software life-cycles, building tools, and architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems, including data platform, AI/ML and infrastructure.
  • Experience managing a team through sales processes, operations and career development, including account mapping, quota setting, quarterly/annual performance management, and managing sensitive information.
  • Experience as a Pre-Sales Manager or a people manager in a technical customer-facing role within a professional services or Sales Engineering team.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders, including tailoring and delivering messages by audience, asking questions, and leading conversations that drive business opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of pre-sales engineers by, leveraging excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills to engage with sales prospects. Discover and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google’s Cloud services, and address technical objections throughout the sales process.
  • Motivate and manage a team of engineering professionals, by leveraging people management skills and presenting with excellent communication abilities. Maintain technical expertise and engage directly with prospects when needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, engineering, and sales teams.
