Description

Scopely is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game in Culver City on a hybrid basis, or remotely in the US!
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

What You Will Do:
This role requires a dynamic leader who can build a brand, drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth through data-driven, innovative marketing strategies across PC, console, and mobile platforms. As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be the link between the game development team and publishing, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns that deliver a seamless, player-focused experience across all channels.

  • Lead the global marketing strategy for the AAA multiplatform game, driving brand awareness, paid user acquisition, and organic growth across PC, console, and mobile.
  • Develop the brand identity, consumer positioning, and messaging, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints, including advertising, social media, 1st party stores, and in-game.
  • Collaborate with the game team to identify in-game events, tentpole moments, and opportunities to promote the game’s updates and features, translating these into comprehensive, live-service marketing roadmaps.
  • Drive the end-to-end execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including social media, paid media, PR, CRM and other marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with the game's live service.
  • Own and manage the creative development process, working with internal and external creative teams to produce best-in-class promotional materials that resonate with players and represent the game’s brand vision.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Creative, Business Intelligence, User Acquisition, and external partners, to ensure the execution of marketing strategies that maximize player engagement, winback, and retention.
  • Monitor marketing performance metrics in collaboration with analytics and product teams, using data insights to continuously optimize marketing strategies and close performance gaps.
  • Develop forecasts and manage budgets, aligning spend with business objectives, while preparing gap plans to address any performance shortfalls.
  • Champion a player-first approach in all marketing efforts, ensuring that campaigns reflect the desires and needs of the game’s audience, resulting in a cohesive and authentic player experience.

What You Need:
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, with a proven track record in the gaming industry, preferably in AAA or cross-platform games.
  • Experience leading marketing campaigns for large-scale, live-service games across PC, and console platforms, with strong knowledge of user acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and mobile.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling successful AAA or cross-platform games across PC, console, and/or mobile.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external agencies in developing and executing large-scale, integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to guide decision-making and optimizing marketing performance across all channels.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, able to collaborate effectively across all levels and departments, including external development partners.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze performance metrics, build dashboards, and implement data-driven improvements to marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive engagement through in-game events, updates, and promotional moments, with a deep understanding of player behavior and motivations.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience working on AAA, live-service, or cross-platform games.
  • Passion for gaming, with a deep understanding of player expectations, especially in the FPS or action-adventure genres.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms for workflow optimization and tracking.
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $139,400 - $205,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
