How we LEAD:
The Strategic Finance & Business Optimization team at Virgin Music Group [VMG] spearheads global improvement and business integration projects, constructing comprehensive execution plans with a strong focus on finance and global strategy. The Director role will report to the team’s VP and will be based at our New York City office with an in-office presence of 3-4 days/week. (Note: VP is located in Miami, FL.)
How you'll CREATE:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive person with exceptional organizational skills and a strong analytical mindset. This role will work across many business verticals, driving forward global projects and ensuring timely execution of strategic deliverables.
Manage internal strategic analyses by working with department leaders across VMG and wider UMG to determine growth and integration initiatives, business process optimization and global cost reduction.
Drive forward implementation of VMG’s strategic goals by managing workstreams and tracking project initiatives.
Develop financial models and create concise presentations to communicate project progress to VMG senior management and other UMG leaders.
Recommend best practices for improving current processes to facilitate better decision making, team communication, and cost savings.
Proactively identify potential opportunities, evaluate strategic implications, and initiate related analyses.
Manage finance related communications with label/artist partners and internal UMG stakeholders to ensure transparency of strategic goal achievement.
Bring your VIBE:
Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, consulting/strategy or similar field
Prior relevant experience in the music industry preferred
Ability to take ownership of and drive forward projects independently
Superior Excel skills and advanced proficiency Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to successfully prioritize multiple tasks with minimal oversight
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
High level of intellectual curiosity, especially around music, technology, and entertainment
Highly personable with strong team-working skills

Salary Range:
$89,550 - $164,817The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
