Job Description

As an Engineering Project Manager for the Software Beta Program at Apple, you will tackle complex problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams. You will be a key member of the team responsible for software releases, enabling customer feedback before and after product launches. Your role involves acting as the first responder to external issues during the development and launch phases of Apple's software products. You will leverage customer feedback to guide engineering responses throughout the development cycle. This position requires interaction with external customers, engineering teams, project management staff, and other quality organizations to gather and analyze customer feedback, identify significant trends, and advocate for high-impact issues to ensure optimal software releases.
Must have:
  • Contact external customers, program management, and engineering teams.
  • Monitor public feedback for new issues.
  • Report on seeding program progress and feedback assessment.
  • Support seeding program tools development.
  • Investigate user-reported issues via testing and diagnostics.
  • Review bugs and collaborate with engineering on prioritization.
  • Identify trends from complex data.

Do you love solving challenging problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you’ll work with many different teams across Apple? Work as part of the Beta Program team for our software releases! The Software Beta Program allows customers to provide feedback to Apple on software projects before and after they are released. We are the first responders for outside issues during the development and launch cycle of Apple’s software products. Our engineers use customer feedback to advise and craft engineering response throughout the development cycle. On this team, you will interact with external customers, engineering teams, project management staff, and other quality organizations to collect and process customer feedback, identify key trends, and champion high-impact issues to drive the best possible releases.

This is a diverse role that includes: * Directly contacting external customers, internal program management, and engineering teams * Monitoring pre and post-release public feedback to identify and call out new issues in the field * Reporting on progress of seeding programs, assessment of incoming feedback, and other project status * Supporting ongoing development of our seeding program tools * Investigating issues reported by our outside users through test reproduction, debugging, and diagnostics analysis * Reviewing bugs and work with engineering teams to isolate and appropriately prioritize response * Identifying trends and insights from large and complex data
