Job Description

The Finance Director (SSC) - Canada is responsible for the overall management of the Shared Service Center (SSC) operations, encompassing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and fixed assets. Key responsibilities include overseeing policies, service level agreements (SLAs), processes, manpower planning, and operations to ensure smooth functionality. This role requires contract review for compliance and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring prompt billing and collections, maintaining cash sustainability, and implementing and enforcing group policies and internal controls. The position involves budget management, supporting stakeholders in meeting quality service standards, supervising and mentoring the team, and leading improvement initiatives. A strong accounting and leadership background is essential, along with excellent communication skills and experience in large SSC environments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Overall responsible for the Shared Service (SSC) operation – AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets

  • Responsible for SSC policy/SLA and processes, manpower planning and operations management to ensure smooth operation

  • Review contracts and ensure compliance and SOPs

  • Ensure prompt billing and collections and cash sustainability

  • Compliance control to group policies and internal controls are implemented and adhered to oversee and drive the annual budget

  • Support stakeholders to maintain quality service standards 

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the team

  • Support and lead improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Accounting or Business degree/Chartered Accountant

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience background in finance

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong leadership skill with positive mindset

  • Experience working in large SSC environment
