The Far Back End and Sort Organization (FSO) is looking for a Module Equipment Technician in FBE. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment; performing setup and preventative maintenance; monitoring data to improve tool performance; creating reports; and collaborating with Module Engineering on experiments and equipment changes. The role also involves supporting troubleshooting through data analysis to meet or improve module availability and performance targets. During factory ramps, the technician will work with engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs. The position is for a compressed day shift, and relocation assistance is not provided.

Job Description: 

The Far Back End and Sort Organization (FSO) is looking for a Module Equipment Technician in FBE.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  • Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues.
  • Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance.
  • Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures.
  • Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions.
  • During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.

This position is for a compressed day shift only, (7:00am to 7:30pm).

Relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

The candidate must possess at least one of the following educational or experience requirements:

  • Associate degree in a science, technology, math, engineering, or STEM discipline. AND 6 years maintenance experience, repair, or troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science, technology, math, engineering, or STEM discipline AND 2 years maintenance experience, repair, or troubleshooting.
  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree AND 6+ years related hands on maintenance experience, or experience with equipment troubleshooting installation, qualification, or operations in a semiconductor environment or manufacturing environment.
  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree AND 4+ years Field Service Engineer (2) level semiconductor maintenance experience
  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree AND 6+ years related hands on experience including military experience. Such as electronics, mechanical, or similar technical field.

    Candidate must be willing to:

    Work a dayshift compressed work week schedule. The schedule will consist of three twelve-hour nights in a row followed by a four-night week every other week.

    Work in a clean room environment wearing coveralls hoods booties safety glasses and gloves.

    Lift up to 25 lbs. 5 times/day, spend the majority of time (more than 90 percent less break time) in a clean room environment working on tool sets, walking 2-4 miles a day, and/or standing/sitting for 9 hours.

    Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$69,430.00-$98,020.00 (Hourly Role)

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
