This role involves defining and executing the game design vision for World of Warship Blitz, a mobile battleship shooter game, ensuring a high-quality player experience. Responsibilities include understanding game mechanics, player dynamics, and balance; collaborating with cross-functional teams (programming, QA, art); and implementing and adjusting game features. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of game design experience, proficiency in Unity, and a passion for games, especially within hardcore genres like action, shooting, or strategy. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential.

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Game Designer to join our Shanghai Studio and contribute to the development of World of Warship Blitz, an engaging and immersive battleship shooter game for mobile platforms.

Reports to

Game Design Lead

What will you do?

  • Define and execute the game design vision, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality player experience. 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Warship Blitz mechanics, player dynamics, and game balance, contributing actively to their implementation and adjustment. 

  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams (programming, QA, art, etc.) to ensure successful implementation of game features. 

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in game design and at least one online game development project. 

  • Proficiency in working with Unity. 

  • Passionate about games, with a solid understanding of mainstream titles and clear insights into system design, gameplay mechanics, and balance. 

  • Proficiency in using game design tools such as Visio, Excel, and other relevant softwar 

  • Detail-oriented, with a strong ability to focus on the finer aspects of game design. 

  • Strong time management skills and a sense of responsibility to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard. 

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience in hardcore game genres such as action, shooting, or strategy games. 

  • Full-cycle experience in developing at least a released game. 

  • Good oral English communication skills.  

  • Experience as a player or designer in warship shooter games.
