The Game Technical Director is responsible for providing hands-on technical leadership and project oversight throughout the full game development lifecycle. In this role, you can expect to be involved in:

    • Proactively surface technical challenges and roadblocks, presenting potential solutions and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

    • Technical Design and Development:
    • Spearhead the technical design and development of game software, ensuring a scalable and extensible architecture that can support current and future projects.
    • Work in close partnership with key stakeholders to inform the design of major game features, technology budgeting, scheduling, and whole-project dependency analysis.
    • Take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to resolving bottlenecks through effective coordination with teams and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with teams to identify, assess, and mitigate technical debt risks, ensuring a sustainable and maintainable codebase for long-term project health.
    • Define and refine tech team process and structure with strong KPI index to drive continuous development improvement and direction.

    • Hands-On Software Development:
    • Lead by example, actively contributing to the design, coding, testing, and debugging of complex software applications and components.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications.
    • Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.
    • Drive iterative software improvement through rigorous testing, performance analysis, and feedback integration.

    • Provide Mentorship and Guidance:
    • Share knowledge, best practices, and industry trends with team engineers to foster their learning and development.

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • Expert-level experience with C#.
    • 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably in gaming.
    • Shipped multiple titles starting from the prototype stage (on Console, PC, or Mobile).
    • Professional proficiency with either unity or unreal game engines.
    • Ability to write clean, simple, well-documented code from design requirements.
    • Proven track record of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
    • Strong experience in Android / iOS Mobile / Console application development.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest mobile gaming trends.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
    • Experience working in Agile, Kanban, or similar project management methodologies.
