Key Responsibilities:
Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of Android automotive audio framework and APIs.
- Expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and audio processing techniques.
- Understanding of audio codecs, formats, and sample rates.
- Android Automotive Development: Proficiency in OOPs, C++ / Java /Kotlin programming languages, Android SDK, Android Studio IDE, and Android framework APIs related to audio.
Architecture and Design:
- Ability to design scalable and modular audio software architectures.
- Experience with software design patterns and best practices for audio systems.
- Knowledge of real-time audio processing and synchronization. Audio path optimization to meet CP/AA certification needs
- Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting audio-related issues.
- Familiarity with audio testing tools and methodologies.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration with hardware engineers, DSP specialists, and other stakeholders.
- Documentation skills to create architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
Problem-solving and Optimization:
- Analytical skills to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize audio processing pipelines.
- Experience in profiling and optimizing audio software for memory and CPU efficiency.
- Ability to balance audio quality, latency, and resource usage constraints.
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding automotive audio systems, including amplifier integration, speaker placement, and cabin acoustics.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and audio performance and safety regulations.
Continuous Learning and Adaptability:
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in audio technologies and Android platform updates.
- Adaptability to evolving project requirements and emerging trends in automotive audio.
