Job Summary:
PayPal is seeking a seasoned Product Lead to drive the end-to-end partner experience for PayPal for Platforms. In this high-impact role, you will own the full partner and merchant lifecycle ; from onboarding and configuration to reporting and ongoing management, while championing seamless integration, embedded payments, and financial services. You will define and execute the product roadmap, deliver intuitive SDKs and APIs, and build trusted relationships with strategic partners. You will lead the end-to-end partner experience for PayPal for Platforms, managing onboarding, partner setup, configuration, settings, reporting, and merchant lifecycle management. Defining and executing the product roadmap for all partner-facing tools, workflows, and SDK integrations, you’ll ensure a seamless, reliable, and scalable experience for platforms and their merchants. You'll be responsible for driving the strategy, building, and launching embedded payments and financial services that enable platforms to offer integrated payment acceptance and financial tools within their own environments.
To champion the developer experience, you’ll work closely with engineering to deliver intuitive, robust SDKs and APIs that simplify integration and accelerate time to market. Partner onboarding and compliance processes will be streamlined under your guidance, ensuring alignment with global regulatory and risk requirements. You'll also create advanced reporting and analytics capabilities to provide partners with actionable insights into merchant activity, performance, and lifecycle events.
Managing the full merchant lifecycle from the platform perspective—including onboarding, support, risk management, and offboarding—will be a key focus. In addition, you’ll establish and maintain strong feedback loops with partners and developers to continuously improve features, documentation, and support resources. Monitoring and analyzing KPIs to track partner engagement, satisfaction, and business impact, you’ll use data to inform product decisions. Staying ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape, you’ll help ensure PayPal for Platforms remains a market leader in partner and developer experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product.
Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product leadership as needed.
Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
Required Qualification:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualification:
10+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on payments, fintech, platforms, or marketplace ecosystems.
Proven track record in building and scaling B2B or platform products, with deep expertise in SDKs, APIs, and developer experience.
Demonstrated experience building and launching embedded payments and financial services solutions within platform or SaaS environments
Strong platform thinking: ability to design solutions that serve both business and technical stakeholders, including developers, compliance, and operations.
Demonstrated experience managing the partner lifecycle: onboarding, enablement, engagement, performance tracking, and renewal/termination.
Be a customer champion: comfortable engaging with strategic partners, building deep, trusted relationships, and advocating for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.
Exceptional analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to product strategy and success measurement.
Outstanding cross-functional leadership and communication skills; able to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working with compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements in payments or financial services.
Customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding user and developer experiences for partners and their merchants.
MBA preferred. Advanced technical background a plus.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $152,500 to $262,350
