Job Description

The Level Designer Assistant will support the Lead Level Designer in creating engaging game levels for The Crew Motorfest. Responsibilities include assembling design assets, building and integrating 3D level components, updating documentation (paper plans, briefings), creating in-game activities, designing open-world navigation areas, implementing features from other departments, ensuring optimal gameplay flow with testers and programmers, and monitoring player tracking data. This 6-month internship requires game design/level design education, game development experience (prototypes, student projects, etc.), familiarity with game engines, 2D/3D software, and strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. English proficiency is essential.

Description du poste

Sous la responsabilité du Lead Level Designer responsable de votre montée en compétences, vous serez en charge d’assembler les assets Design et créatifs dans un univers passionnant, stimulant et cohérent. Afin d’enrichir l’expérience du joueur, vous construirez et assemblerez les niveaux de jeu et du monde grâce aux assets 3D. 

Principales missions : 

  • Rédiger et mettre à jour la documentation LD (paper plans, briefings, guidelines, etc.), en accord avec la ligne éditoriale et le GDD 

  • Créer, mettre en scène et régler les activités du jeu 

  • Participer à la création de playgrounds et de zones de navigation (open world) 

  • Implémenter les fonctionnalités et ressources d'autres corps de métiers 

  • Garantir le flow et la jouabilité avec les Development Testers, Level Artists et Gameplay Programmeurs 

  • Surveiller et analyser le tracking des joueurs 

Qualifications

  • En formation en Game Design ou Level Design 

  • Expérience en développement de jeu vidéo (prototypes, projets étudiants, game jam, projet personnel…) 

  • Bonnes connaissances des moteurs de jeu, du vocabulaire et des contraintes des autres corps de métiers 

  • Maitrise des logiciels de 2D/3D, la connaissance d’outils de suivi de tâches/bugs (Jira) est un plus 

  • Créativité, communication, rigueur, autonomie, et curiosité sont indispensables 

  • Bonne capacité à travailler en équipe de manière itérative 

  • Maitrise de l’anglais (écrit et oral)
