About Global Payment The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in from May 2025 onwards. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Successful candidates must be able to commit to either of the following Internships - From May to October, 2025 Responsibilities - Design and develop machine learning algorithms to combat financial compliance risks and identify potential compliance issues, uncover potential emerging risks. - Focus on live streaming, e-commerce, and other business scenarios, exploring new paradigms for financial security in internet-based contexts. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, Generative AI, LLM, and VLM. Improve compliance operation review efficiency - Explore the application and implementation of cutting-edge research such as large language models, graph neural networks, and multimodal techniques in financial risk scenarios. - Work with datasets for image processing, text analysis, and multimodal model training.

Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree, with majors in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, data science or other related disciplines; - Experienced in AI modeling, familiar with at least one framework of TensorFlow / PyTorch / MXNet; - Has good learning and communication skills, a strong sense of curiosity and responsibility, a spirit of exploration, and self-motivation. Preferred Qualifications: - Published relevant papers in high-level international conferences and academic journals (including but not limited to CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML, AAAI, TPAMI, IJCV, etc.), or won awards in high-level competitions - Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack - Interested in payment industry ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
