The MacOS Engineer will be responsible for engineering, managing, and maintaining a fleet of macOS devices, ensuring seamless connectivity to essential apps and services. The role involves improving, automating, and standardizing corporate devices and their infrastructure. This includes developing scripts, optimizing MDM systems, collaborating globally to resolve issues, deploying updates, and enhancing systems. The engineer will also develop new solutions and architect integrations. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are essential. This role is part of the IT Engineering group and supports colleagues by ensuring high system performance.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of experience managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, or bash/zsh automation scripts
  • Experience managing macOS devices with MDM platforms like Intune or Jamf Pro
  • Understanding of software distribution and patching technologies for macOS
  • Knowledge of macOS security features and best practices
  • Experience managing Apple device lifecycles using Apple Business Manager
  • Experience integrating systems to fulfill business needs
  • Ability to troubleshoot macOS operating systems, applications, peripherals, network, and audio-visual problems
  • Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
  • Clear and concise communicator with high customer service skills
  • Flexible and reliable team player in a collaborative environment
  • Fluency in English is required

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in macOS device management to play a key role in engineering, managing and maintaining a growing fleet of devices, ensuring seamless connectivity to essential apps and services that support business needs.

In this position, you’ll focus on improving, automating, and standardising our fleet of corporately owned devices and their supporting infrastructure. This will involve developing and maintaining scripts, optimising MDM systems, and collaborating globally to resolve issues, deploy updates, and enhance systems in this growing and fast-moving domain. You will also develop new solutions for business problems and architect integrations to meet the requirements of a variety of stakeholders.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be needed as you collaborate with colleagues across the firm globally to find and resolve issues, plan and execute deployments, and improve systems where possible.

Getting the details right and keeping good records are critical in this role. Good troubleshooting skills are essential, and you’ll be expected to clearly document problem resolution resulting from root cause analysis.

This role is part of our IT Engineering group, a dedicated team that architects and manages a global physical, virtual, and mobile computing environment. Your analytical skills and expertise will directly support our colleagues and ensure the highest standard of system performance.

About You

  • 4+ years of experience in a technical engineering role managing, monitoring, and deploying macOS devices in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with developing PowerShell, Python or bash/zsh automation scripts and tooling
  • Have extensive experience with managing macOS devices using an MDM platform such as Intune, Workspace One, or Jamf Pro
  • Understanding of software distribution and patching technologies for macOS
  • Knowledge of macOS security features and best practices
  • Experience managing the life cycles of Apple devices using Apple Business Manager
  • Experience integrating a variety of systems to fulfil business needs
  • Ability to troubleshoot macOS operating systems, applications, peripherals, network, and audio-visual problems
  • Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
  • Clear and concise communicator; able to maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • A flexible and reliable team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
  • Fluency in English is required
