N-iX is looking for a talented Middle Manual QA engineer to join our team! Our client is one of Europe's fastest-growing mobile companies with 4.5 million active customers, 1,000 employees worldwide, and operations in five countries. The client is using the mobile virtual network operator business model.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback and identify potential gaps or risks early in the development process
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and scripts to validate new features, ensure non-functional requirements are met, and conduct regression testing
- Perform end-to-end testing of backend functionality, focusing on web services (REST, SOAP) and ensuring seamless integration within a microservice architecture
- Identify, document and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of issues
- Manage and maintain test data, ensuring proper setup for efficient and accurate test execution
- Work within a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with developers, automation testers, and production support engineers to improve overall software quality
- Lead demo sessions for stakeholders, showcasing test results, findings, and key observations
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving, actively identifying and addressing issues to streamline development
- Communicate effectively in a multinational environment
- Contribute to continuous QA process improvements, enhancing reporting, documentation, and best practices
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP)
- API testing experience (Postman, Swagger, or similar tools)
- Basic SQL knowledge for database querying and test validation
- Good understanding of XML and JSON
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
- Skilled in requirement analysis and defect reporting
- Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and test case management (TestRail, XRay) tools
- Knowledge and experience with messaging systems and patterns (topics, queues), and tools (Azure Service Bus)
- Understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc)
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid verbal and written English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate)
Would be a plus:
- Experience with Azure cloud environment and cloud-based testing
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of telecom industry principles
- Experience with automation testing (e.g., Rest-Assured, TestNG, Selenium)
