ABOUT THE ROLE
The network administrator will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organisation's internal computer networks and systems. The person will also ensure that the network infrastructure is operating efficiently, securely, and reliably to support the needs of the organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate new technologies.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
● Network Configuration: Set up and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
● Monitoring Network Performance: Keep track of network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure minimal downtime.
● Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
● User Support: Provide support to users experiencing network-related issues and basic IT support.
● Network Documentation: Maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and changes.
● Policy Development: Develop and enforce network policies and procedures for the organization.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet) and network devices.
● Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software conflicts.
● Security Knowledge: Understanding network security principles, tools, and best practices.
● Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users.
NICE TO HAVES
● Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA or in Google Cloud Platform will be considered an asset.
