Job Description

Onward Search is seeking an Office Manager for a 6-month contract (with possible extension) at a Fortune 1000 client in Seattle, WA (Mercer Island). This on-site, 5-days-a-week role requires managing vendor relationships, coordinating with security, collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing office maintenance and repairs, implementing EHS compliance, developing office procedures, and supporting local events. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance services in a dynamic organization, experience managing contractors, strong problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include cultivating vendor relationships, ensuring employee needs are met, and proactively identifying office improvements.

We’re looking to hire a Office Manager for a Fortune 1000 client. Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.  

Our direct Fortune 1000 client is looking for someone to join the Workplace team to serve as the primary point of office contact for daily support of employees and vendors. Proactively manage vendor tasks and ensure all employee needs are efficiently addressed.

This is a 6 – month contract + possible extension. The team is located in Seattle, WA (Mercer Island), and the role is on-site 5 days/week. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.

Office Manager Responsibilities: 

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Coordinate with on-site security as necessary.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including local leadership, building management, the broader team, and local Physical Security, to ensure alignment with programs and workplace expectations.
  • Oversee office maintenance and repairs, proactively identifying and proposing improvements to the office environment to maintain standards.
  • Implement and maintain EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) compliance activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize office procedure documentation.
  • Support local office events, including planning, communication, and day-of coordination, to ensure all elements are in place for Show Days.

 
Office Manager Requirements: 

  • 3+ years’ proven experience providing facilities or maintenance services in a dynamic organization.
  • Experience managing contractors and suppliers, including monitoring service standards and understanding compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving deadlines.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize workload, coupled with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the company.

  • *To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
