The People & Culture Partner at Warner Bros. Discovery is a key role supporting the People & Culture team and the business. Responsibilities include providing solutions to employee matters, acting as a strategic business partner and employee champion, developing initiatives to maintain employer-of-choice status, and collaborating with business leaders on people strategies. The role involves workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, managing headcount, developing organizational culture, partnering with People Relations and Employment Legal, supporting employees, leveraging HR metrics, overseeing recruitment, and enhancing employee engagement. The ideal candidate is a positive self-starter with strong strategic and tactical skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced creative environment.

Your New Role

The People & Culture Partner is a key position within Warner Bros. Discovery’s People and Culture team. The position will support the People & Culture team as well as the business by providing solutions to employee-related matters, maintaining a balance between being a strategic business partner and employee champion. This position will continuously challenge the status quo and develop initiatives that ensure Warner Bros. Discovery remains an employer of choice. This position will be located in Atlanta with some anticipated travel.

The People & Culture Partner will be a positive self-starter who can think strategically about big picture business goals as well as tactically execute a full range of People & Culture initiatives. In this dynamic culture, the role will serve as the primary partner to the business and the liaison with the broader HR community of Warner Bros. Discovery. Candidates for this position should be innovative, solution-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and be able to engage with colleagues across level, location, and discipline. The role must effectively work in a fast-paced creative environment, bringing an energy and enthusiasm to the function, founded in sound strategy. 

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Act as a trusted partner to managers, providing guidance on, workforce planning, org design, talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • In partnership with the Director, People & Culture, collaborate with business leaders to design and implement people strategies that support team objectives and enhance employee performance. For example, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Work closely with Finance and Business Leaders to monitor and manage headcount, ensuring alignment with budget expectations and organizational goals.
  • Actively participate in and champion the development and evolution of organizational culture, aligning with core principles
  • Partner with People Relations and Employment Legal to deliver People & Culture solutions on people related issues.
  • Serve as a resource to employees, supporting them in navigating workplace issues and questions and fostering open communication channels.
  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to provide data-driven insights that guide decision-making.
  • Oversee the recruitment process for permanent and temporary roles, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Take part in initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and morale through effective communication, recognition programs, and well-being initiatives.
  • Champion our WBD Guiding Principles
  • Develop strong working relationships with all People & Culture COE functions to provide seamless support and guidance to clients.
  • The role requires effectiveness in a fast-paced, creative environment, bringing energy and enthusiasm to HR Business Partnership, grounded in a solid foundation.
  • Manage special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience within Human Resources as a Business Partner
  • Proven ability to work in global and matrixed structure
  • Collaborative working style
  • Strong experience with Outlook, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow and develop
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong in communicating with others and builds strong relationships with colleagues and employees
  • Good judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of compensation and benefits practices
  • Experience in working with a culturally diverse workforce
  • Knowledge of national, state and local Employee and Labor Relations practices, laws and regulations
