The Platform Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of information processing hardware and electrical components. This includes working on central processing units (CPUs) and peripheral equipment. The role involves preparing specifications, evaluating vendors, analyzing test reports, and ensuring products meet standards. The engineer will develop plans, cost estimates, and assess projects to manage risk, as well as develop procedures and designs for computer components and systems. They will also be expected to initiate and coordinate new ideas and product development, and respond to customer requests, utilizing formal education and judgment. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must have:
  • BE / Master's in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Strong basic electronics background
  • In-depth knowledge of digital design and transmission lines
  • Experience in high-speed board design, Signal and power integrity
  • Worked on Power delivery subsystems
  • Experience of 7-10 years in board design
  • Strong analytical ability and communication skills
Good to have:
  • Hands on experience on Intel silicon, DDR, PCIE, Audio, display and camera is desired
  • Hands on experience on cadence concept sch entry tool is desired

Job Description:
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
1) BE / Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics and Communications Engineering.

2) Candidate should have strong basic electronics background

3) Should have in depth knowledge of digital design, transmission lines, microcontroller-based designs, Power electronics areas.

4) Experience of 7-10 years in board design is must

5) Experience in High-speed board design, Signal integrity and power integrity is must

6) Hands on experience on Intel silicon, DDR, PCIE, Audio, display and camera is desired

7) Should have worked on Power delivery subsystems

8) Hands on experience on cadence concept sch entry tool is desired

9) Strong analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills

10) Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Should have led multiple HW/board design projects.
