Company Description

Founded in 2012, Incuvo is a studio of over 70 individuals working from Poland, Katowice. We have established our position worldwide in the VR games area, developing such titles like Layers of Fear VR, Blair Witch VR and Green Hell VR. With over 10 years of experience in making games and being engaged in the VR technology since 2019, Incuvo is aiming to expand the genre even further and become one of the key developers of the growing VR market worldwide. We want to combine our expertise with the creativity and skills of ambitious professionals to work on the new generation of VR titles. 

The majority stakeholder of the studio is PCF Group S.A. (People Can Fly), a global independent AAA games developer and a Warsaw Stock Exchange public company. Founded in 2002, People Can Fly made its mark on the action-shooter genre, developing titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and its most recent game, Outriders. PCF is one of the leading Unreal Engine studios in the industry and operates in Poland, UK, US and Canada.

 

Job Description

  • Design and implement quest structure, dialogues, voice-overs and other narrative elements using game engine and external  tools.
  • Cooperate with writers and level designers to create a coherent interactive and memorable narrative.
  • Collaborate with different departments on integrating the story with gameplay.
  • Develop supplemental writing for various game elements, consistent with the project vision.
  • Create and update documentation required for the game’s narrative content.

Qualifications

  • Typically 3+ years of experience as a narrative, quest or level designer.
  • Solid experience of working on narrative-related pipelines (VO, cinematics,audio etc.)
  • Great understanding of story structure, different narrative tools and their application.
  • Strong understanding of creative and game development processes, workflows and pipelines and dependencies between them
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of creativity
  • Solid ability to easily translate concepts and vision into specific narrative content.
  • Ability to process and proactively react to feedback and accept constructive criticism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Open-minded team player attitude
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Passionate about playing and making video games
