This 6-month full-time Sales Engineering Internship in Melbourne offers opportunities for technical, professional, and personal growth. Interns will be key members of the commercial team, contributing to the sales of massive Tesla Energy Storage Products. Responsibilities include building and scaling tools for project deployment, coordinating projects across engineering and business functions, developing and applying storage application modelling, identifying optimal technical and commercial fits for Tesla's technology, and analyzing processes to improve efficiency. The role provides exposure to large-scale business development and renewable energy storage projects. A passion for engineering and a fast-paced work environment is essential.

What to Expect

This 6-month internship opportunity will provide opportunities to grow technically, professionally, and personally. The successful applicant will be a key technical member of the commercial team evaluates and executes new massive Tesla Energy Storage Product sales. This role will provide you the opportunity to participate in the sale of massive energy storage systems, create tools, refine processes and accelerate and scale the Utility Energy Business.

The Sales Engineering team provides a unique opportunity and exposure to business development at massive scale and the engineering which supports some of the largest renewable energy storage projects in the world . You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that fundamentally change the world’s energy infrastructure and a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This is a 6-month full-time position, based in Melbourne.

What You’ll Do
  • Build, test and scale tools to accelerate the sale and deployment of utility energy storage projects
  • Coordinate your own projects across engineering and business functions
  • Work closely with the team to develop and apply storage application modelling and analysis
  • Work with the Sales Engineering team to identify the best commercial and technical fit of Tesla’s technology to support the development of business cases for projects
  • Analyse existing process, identify and solve for inefficiencies
