Job Description

As a Field Sales Manager of Data and Analytics (DA) at Google Cloud, you'll lead a team of specialists to acquire customers and increase market share across Southeast Asia. Responsibilities include developing and executing go-to-market strategies, building executive-level relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering, etc.). You'll manage complex agreements, drive pipeline generation, exceed sales goals, and foster a high-performing team culture. A strong understanding of Google Cloud's DA portfolio (BigQuery, DataProc, etc.) is crucial, along with experience in prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing a sales territory.
Must have:
  • 12+ years enterprise software/cloud sales experience
  • Leadership experience in quota-carrying team
  • Experience selling data analytics/management technologies
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Data & Analytics portfolio
  • Ability to build executive-level relationships
  • Lead generation and pipeline management expertise

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in a sales hunter role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience in leadership within a quota-carrying team, such as people management, team lead, mentorship or coaching.
  • Experience selling data analytics or data management technologies to clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in people and business management, supporting career development of a high performing sales team and business growth.
  • Experience planning and organizing go-to-market strategies, business programs, and sales activity within your team and territory.
  • Experience with technical stacks and Google Cloud Data Analytics offerings (e.g., Predictive Analytics, Hadoop/Spark Data lakes).
  • Experience leveraging of products, solutions, and market trends, with the investigative abilities to analyze sales performance data or market changes, to drive strategic direction.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams to impact business goals, customer experience, and expansion.

As a Field Sales Manager of Data and Analytics (DA) focusing on Pursuit accounts, you will be responsible to lead the team of sales specialists to acquire customers and grow Google Cloud’s DA market share across accounts in your territories. You will build executive-level relationships, and align our offerings and partners’ value proposition to customers’ needs. You will be excellent at prospecting, qualifying, and orchestrating a cross-functional team; leveraging the right resources including customer engineering, partner management, professional services, and field teams. In this role, you will have knowledge of the Google Cloud Data and Analytics portfolio including BigQuery, DataProc, PubSub, Looker and more. You will work on complex agreements and manage a team and territory across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and high-performing team culture, supporting your team to drive pipelines, manage business cycles from lead generation to customer on-boarding, and meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and own the go-to-market plan to scale and impact your business in key areas, including Business, Net New Customer Growth, Customer Expansion, and Customer Referenceability.
  • Partner with Field Sales, Marketing, Customer Engineering, Customer Success, Channels, Product, and Engineering to understand impact messaging and collateral, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Expand relationships to influence long-term strategic direction and be a trusted advisor to your team and their accounts. Inspire executives at prospective customers to partner with Google.
  • Represent business in forecasts, town halls and meetings; report forecasts and business performance in Salesforce and other tools.
