The Senior Analyst – Strategy & Planning will support the development and execution of DCP’s growth initiatives. Collaboration with junior partners within DCP and across The Walt Disney Company is crucial. The position is based in Glendale, CA or Orlando, FL.

The Strategy and Planning Team is a highly visible team that collaborates with executive leaders in Disney Consumer Products to develop strategies that drive business growth, with a clear path from strategy development to execution and impact assessment.

We seek a candidate with experience in retail/product strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or private equity to support the development and execution of DCP’s growth initiatives. This role demands outstanding analytical and financial modeling skills, along with the ability to optimally collaborate with junior partners within DCP and across The Walt Disney Company. You will report to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze consumer and retail trends across major global markets to uncover insights and opportunities

  • Support members of the DCP Strategy & Planning team in developing and driving key global growth initiatives related to geographic, brand or category expansion

  • Assist DCP Strategy & Planning team members in conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform new opportunity assessment and strategy development

  • Support the team in performing in-depth financial analyses to evaluate new business opportunities, delivering accurate, high-quality insights to advise strategic decision-making

  • Support team members in developing presentation materials; optimally communicate key findings and recommendations to members of the strategy and planning team and to junior collaborators across partner teams

  • Assist in providing inputs for Disney’s annual strategic planning process with guidance from Strategy & Planning team members

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-5 years of progressively complex experience in retail/product strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate development or private equity

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including prioritization, critical thinking, and hypothesis development

  • Ability to think pragmatically, not just theoretically, and drive execution of concepts

  • Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid project turnarounds required

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $94,200.00 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
