Join Turn 10 Studios, the developer behind the Forza Motorsport franchise, as a UI Engineer. You will be responsible for implementing complex UI screens for interactive game features, troubleshooting UI artist issues, contributing to a visual library of XAML components, collaborating with a team of UI artists, designers, and developers, proposing UI workflow enhancements, benchmarking and optimizing UI elements, and maintaining a balance between visuals and performance.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in XAML and Microsoft Blend
  • Portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and UI design
  • Experience in delivering content within performance constraints
  • BS/BA degree in Graphic Design, UI, Art, CS or related field
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with C++
  • Interest in accessibility and scalable multi-platform UI

Summary:

Join Turn 10 Studios, the renowned developer behind the Forza Motorsport franchise, in a pivotal role as a UI Engineer. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user interface of one of the industry's most successful game series. Your expertise and creativity will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge HUD and front-end UI experiences to our players.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement complex UI screens for interactive game features with data-driven dynamic layouts, animations, and transitions.

  • Assist in troubleshooting UI artist issues related to tooling and content authoring pipelines.

  • Contribute to building a visual library of XAML components for utilization in UI screens.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of technical UI artists, designers, and developers to create in-game UI screens.

  • Propose enhancements to improve UI content workflows by gaining deep knowledge of UI content data flow, tooling, and rendering techniques.

  • Benchmark, debug, and optimize UI elements while maintaining a balance between visuals and performance.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Graphic Design, User Interface, Art, Computer Science or related field.

  • Proficiency in XAML and Microsoft Blend.

  • Familiarity with C++ is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and intuitive UI design across various projects.

  • Experience in delivering content within performance constraints.

  • Interest in accessibility and scalable multi-platform UI is desirable.

  • Location: Redmond, WA

  • Duration: 11 Months

  • Pay Range: $43.50 - 49.50 per hour
