Job Description
The Senior Application Engineer at Google's Business Systems Integration team will focus on removing roadblocks to progress by building reliable and scalable solutions for internal processes. This role involves translating Googler needs into technical specifications, designing and developing systems, and consulting with executives for smooth implementation. Responsibilities include partnering with internal teams to define and implement solutions, identifying and solving business issues, developing and deploying applications across various platforms, and maintaining development practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, web services, GCP, and full system implementation life cycles.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS or equivalent
- 8+ years in business application development/implementation
- Experience with third-party application integration
- Develop, build, and deploy applications
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Good to have:
- Java, REST/SOAP web services
- GCP or other public cloud platforms
- Python programming, OOP principles
- Supply Chain & ERP systems knowledge

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in business application development or implementation.
- Experience in implementing, customizing or integrating third-party applications within business enterprise software.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with programming languages Java and web services technology (e.g., REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other public cloud platforms.
- Experience in multiple full system implementation life cycles (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
- Experience in Python programming language, with the knowledge of object-oriented principles.
- Knowledge of systems related to Supply Chain and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.
- Identify, assess, estimate, and solve business issues, where analysis of situations/scenarios or data requires an evaluation of variable factors including security.
- Develop, build, and deploy applications using various platforms and technologies. Work with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain the development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing modular, and self-sustaining code.
