- Ability to succeed in ambiguity
- Strong visual design skills
- Design portfolio demonstrating expertise designing useful, usable, and visually compelling cross-platform products

Google’s Consumer Shopping UX team is responsible for shaping shopping experiences across a broad set of user touch points including Google’s largest products: Search, Shopping, Maps, Chrome, and more. In this role you will join the New Shopping Home team, a tight knit team working on a multi-year mission to reinvent how people use Google products in their shopping experiences: from finding the best price and discovering new merchants, to researching products and finding a perfect match using our innovative uses of augmented reality, machine learning, computing, and generative AI.
User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. Responsibilities
- Lead the complete design process, from inception and concept to detailed implementation.
- Shape the product strategy, and engage in leadership discussions within and beyond the team to influence overall direction.
- Partner with UXR, UXE, UXW, and Engineering to transform ambiguous opportunities into high-quality designs for mobile and desktop.
- Stay connected with Search and Commerce designers to understand the wider context and leverage shared learnings.
- Mentor and guide other designers, serving as a role model and promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
