Job Description

Microsoft's Cognitive Service Platform team seeks a Software Engineer 2 to design, develop, and maintain robust cloud services in a distributed environment. Responsibilities include creating new features, enhancing existing systems, writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting live-site issues, deploying fixes, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems, proficiency in object-oriented design, and coding experience in languages like C#, Go, Rust, Java, C, or C++. Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and observability tools is preferred. The role contributes to AI-driven solutions impacting millions of users.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field. At least 2 years development experiences in largescale distributed system.
Experience with object-oriented design principles.
Experience coding in languages such as C#, Go, Rust, Java, C, or C++.

Preferred:

Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes (K8s), and observability tools (e.g., logs, metrics).
Understanding of network protocols and cloud service architecture.
Strong collaboration skills and a passion for driving impactful results.
