Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer

What Success Looks Like In This Role

• Excellent hands-on experience in Cloud migration Strategy, Solution and Deployments.
• Proficient in AWS Services like EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, ELB, VPC, Auto-scaling Groups (ASG), Route 53, Config, Code Deploy, Elastic Cache, SNS, SQS, SES, Cloud Formation, Cloud Front, Cloud watch, IAM, Lambda, Directory Service., AppStream etc.
• Responsible for understanding the business requirements, the standards/strategy and combining this into a detailed solution.
• Provides high level / low-level design in cooperation with the Migration Engineers.
• Develop the required architecture documents, manage, and track the build processes.
• Experience in creating IaaC deployment pipelines.
• Experience in IaaC using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Setting up monitoring, troubleshooting infrastructure components hosted in various cloud environments and Services primarily on AWS.
• Implementation of best practices of Public Cloud
• Knowledge of Network design and Active Directory integration.
• Lead the migration plan, implementation and coordinates with the Client and other stakeholders.
• Install and configure the tools that are needed to achieve the migrations.
• Work closely with the DevOps team or the development team in identifying and rectifying issues in a timely manner in various environments
• Automation of various processes and tasks using configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Automation experience using Python/PowerShell
• Solution, Configuration and implementation of PaaS solutions on AWS / Azure
• Experienced in Containerization Solutions [Docker & Kubernetes]
• Collaborate with teams and be the point of contact for customers and participate in regular cadence.
• Own knowledge sharing sessions to improve the underlying knowledge base of the team, helping them expand their breadth of expertise.
• Ownership of client on boarding journey, helping them understand the various processes involved and setup of the various systems involved.
• Responsible and accountable for required level of support to customers and on meeting/exceeding Service level Agreements.
  
  

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Requires minimum 8-10 years of related experience with bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
• Experience in performing DR Assessment & derive DR Solutions
• Proven experience in assessing client’s workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case
• Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
• Experience on Onboarding all instances to Cloud watch to be able to manage and monitor applications.
• Experience with configuring and managing Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) to Implement fault tolerance.
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS
• Good understanding of Cloud Security controls, tools, and standards
• Deployment of various websites using EC2 and Static Website Templates
• Experience in AWS Organizations, Policies and AWS outpost
• Excellent Hands-On Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud.
• Cloud related certifications (Advanced).
• Knowledge of ticketing tools like ServiceNow, JIRA etc.
• Good Knowledge on ITIL/ITSM processes.
