As a Sr. Digital Product Manager for Magic: The Gathering, you'll develop and build engaging digital experiences for millions of players. You'll craft and implement the digital vision, balancing player needs with technical constraints and data analysis. Responsibilities include defining product requirements, creating engaging tools and experiences, advocating for the player, and working within structured timelines to deliver high-quality content. Success in this role requires a deep passion for Magic: The Gathering, strong communication, and experience in the live-services gaming space. You'll be a crucial steward of crafting phenomenal digital Magic experiences for passionate players, driving solutions and contributing to Magic's ongoing success.
Must have:

  • Data-driven decision making
  • Agile/live software development experience
Good to have:
  • MTG deckbuilding experience
  • Tabletop event judge experience
  • SQL experience

Wizards of the Coast seeks a Digital Product Manager to develop and help build engaging experiences for the Magic the Gathering franchise that delight existing players and acquire new ones. This role can be FT Remote or on-site at our Renton, WA office.

Day-to-day wizarding

As a Digital Product Manager, you will contribute the right mix of a passion for Magic, data-informed design, and a desire to build exciting content. You will thrive in a team environment where we reward collaboration, respect, and open communication.

A Product Manager will accurately craft and implement the digital vision and approach to build beloved customer experiences. This role is a crucial steward for crafting phenomenal digital Magic experiences for our passionate players. Do you have the determination to help eliminate ambiguity, drive solutions, and usher in the 4th decade of Magic?

We are looking for candidates to:

  • Find the fun! Create engaging and replayable MTG tools and experiences for millions of players of varying types.

  • Apply your passion for Magic, and understand the community
  • Advocate for the player while balancing technical constraints and practical data comparisons
  • Crafting design documents while maintaining high-quality content within structured timelines

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a potent mix of creativity, autonomy, technical expertise, and experience from the innovative live services gaming space.

  • Passion and experience with Magic: The Gathering
  • Experience defining product and feature requirements as well as the corresponding performance indicators
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a diverse team
  • Ability to elegantly incorporate data into day-to-day decisions
  • Organized and diligent about the features you own

Bonus mana

  • Familiarity with Magic: The Gathering deckbuilding, or experience as a judge in tabletop events

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in an agile or a live software development team
  • An understanding of game economies and player psyche
  • Professional digital product management experience

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $ 95,837

  • Pay Range End: $ 165,325
