Job Description

The Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in driving the Disney Store business by developing and managing products. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, product development, and management within assigned categories (fashion or home goods). This involves understanding guest trends, exceeding guest expectations, and collaborating with various teams (APAC Creative, Product Design, Product Integrity, Global Sourcing) across domestic and international locations. The role requires planning and executing product strategies, managing pricing, procurement, channel distribution (stores and e-commerce), and negotiating with vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing sales and profits within their assigned category.

Must have:

3+ years' experience in product development (manufacturer or SPA)
Character product development experience
Vendor negotiation experience (deadlines, pricing)
Business communication in English
Retail sales, procurement, inventory knowledge
Project management skills
Proficiency in MS Office (PPT, Excel, Word)

Good to have:

Art/design background
Experience in the Japanese market

Disney Storeのビジネスをドライブさせる根幹は商品であり、その中核を担う商品開発チームは非常に大きな責任を伴います。その中でマーチャンダイザーとして担当カテゴリーの戦略立案、商品開発、商品マネジメントを担当頂きます。

職務内容:

ディズニーストアで販売する商品の企画開発(ゲスト動向や市場のトレンドを的確に捉え、常にゲストの期待を超える商品を提供する)
商品部のカテゴリー戦略に基づき、担当チームの商品企画の立案と実行、またプランニング、アロケーション、サプライマネジメントチームと共に価格戦略、仕入計画、チャネル計画（店舗、EC ）を立案する。
計画に基づき、商品アソートメントを決定し、発注する。取引先との条件交渉を行う。
国内外問わず他部門、他チーム(APAC Creative、プロダクトデザイン、プロダクトインテグリティ、グローバルソーシング等)と連携強化し、ビジネスを円滑に進める
担当カテゴリーの売上・利益の最大化の責任を持つ（担当カテゴリーはファッションもしくはホームを想定）

必須条件 : 求められる職務要件

３年以上のメーカーもしくはSPAでの商品開発経験
キャラクター商品の企画開発経験
取引先との折衝経験(納期、価格など)
(尚可)ビジネスにおいて英語を使用したコミュニケーションの経験
