Job Description

The Zscaler Sr. Engineer will focus on cloud security, including web filtering, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, and data loss prevention. Leveraging Zscaler expertise, this role involves assessing gaps, developing controls to mitigate threats, and managing infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintaining Zscaler's cloud infrastructure, migrating policies, and configuring firewalls in ZIA. The engineer will also troubleshoot network and security issues, conduct audits, and collaborate on integrations, significantly impacting client security infrastructure and controls.
Must have:
  • Work on cloud security aspects: web filtering, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, data loss prevention.
  • Develop, mature, and maintain Zscaler’s cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Migrate policies to cloud services from legacy proxy environment.
  • Work on firewall configurations in ZIA.
  • Maintain, implement, monitor, support, and troubleshoot networks/applications/endpoint security related to Zscaler.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues related to Zscaler services.
  • Conduct regular security audits for compliance with industry standards and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zscaler services with existing infrastructure.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Zscaler products and services.
  • Recommend upgrades and enhancements for Zscaler platforms.
  • Provide training and support to IT teams and end-users on Zscaler best practices.
  • Develop documentation on configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Participate in emergency response teams for security incidents and post-mortem analysis.

Job Details

The Zscaler Sr. Engineer will work on various aspects of cloud security, including web filtering policy enforcement, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, and data loss prevention. Using your knowledge and experience in Zscaler, you’ll assess, identify gaps, and develop controls to mitigate security threats and manage infrastructure controls. In this role, you’ll have a significant impact on our clients' security infrastructure and controls.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Work on various aspects of cloud security, including web filtering policy enforcement, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, and data loss prevention
  • Develop, mature, and maintain Zscaler’s cloud-based infrastructure, migrating policies to cloud based services from legacy proxy environment, and working on firewall configurations in ZIA
  • Additionally, engineer will be involved with maintaining, implementing, monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting networks/applications/endpoint security as related to Zscaler
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues related to Zscaler services
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and corporate policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zscaler services with existing infrastructure

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience managing/administrating/deploying Zscaler
  • 5+ years of networking/network security (firewall, DLP, CASB, proxy, etc.)
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong foundation in network security principles, including Zero Trust architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Ability to analyze device and traffic logs, extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining communication and upholding collaborative team dynamics
  • Proficient in creating and managing security policies and protocols
