Sr. Financial Writer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Writer for a 12-month contract (with potential for extension) with a Fortune 500 global financial services client in downtown Los Angeles. This is an on-site role requiring 3 days a week in the office (Tues – Thurs). The team thrives on open communication, accountability, and collaboration.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial writer to join a dynamic team, where you will be responsible for creating compelling, accurate, and SEO-optimized content across a range of channels, including print, digital, email, presentations, and reports. Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and compliance of content with brand guidelines, style guides, and legal/regulatory requirements.
• Leverage databases and on-site research libraries to understand the target audience.
• Revise and repurpose existing content to ensure consistency and freshness.
• Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to boost visibility and engagement.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, business, and design teams to develop integrated communication strategies.
• Work with subject matter experts to gather insights and ensure content accuracy.
• Provide creative input and strategic recommendations to enhance content effectiveness.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee content production processes, including editing, proofing, and distribution.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience in financial writing and content strategy.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and investment principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in content management systems and SEO best practices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  Note: To qualify for our benefits package, candidates must work over 30 hours per week and the assignment must last a minimum of 10 weeks.
