Zoox is on an ambitious journey to develop a full-stack autonomous mobility solution for cities and safely deploy such a robotaxi solution. Zoox’s System Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team constructs the Safety Case and validates that our vehicles are safe enough to be deployed for autonomous driving. SDMA enables Zoox to rapidly iterate and safely expand capabilities through trustworthy, innovative, and pragmatic safety engineering. We are looking for an engineer to support the development of the tools and process for requirements management within the SDMA organization.
In this role, you will:
- Strategize methods and coordinate with partnering organizations to ensure effective bi-directional communication of requirement and system development status throughout the program lifecycle
- Develop and maintain tools to streamline and automate requirement development tasks, including statusing, baselining, establishing traceability, and managing changes
- Develop and maintain dashboards to illustrate progress against targets and highlight focus areas
Qualifications
- BS degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 2 years of experience in managing requirements
- Experience with Python for automation of tasks and interfacing with commercial tools via APIs
- Experience designing and developing automated dashboards using data visualization tools such as Grafana or Looker to monitor operational metrics
- Familiarity with a typical functional safety lifecycle
- Excellent EQ with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivation
Compensation and Benefits
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $123,000 to $177,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
Zoox also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (e.g. sick leave, vacation, bereavement), unpaid time off, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, Amazon RSUs, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
