Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Responsibilities include developing goals and strategy for the Turbolaunch tool, partnering with business stakeholders to manage a roadmap of Turbolaunch features, reviewing engineering design documents, driving sprint planning, ensuring timely responses to customer issues, leading feature testing, creating and maintaining documentation, sending communication for feature releases, and sharing program updates with stakeholders. You'll need excellent technical acumen, communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently. The role requires working in an environment with multiple moving parts and collaborating with multiple internal and external cross-functional teams.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years program management experience
  • Excellent communication & technical acumen
  • Cross-functional project management
  • Handle ambiguity and competing priorities
Good to have:
  • 5 years managing cross-functional projects

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with efficiency.
  • Excellent technical acumen skills to assess engineering scope, define milestones and timelines, and determine resourcing needs for complex, cross-product integrations. Ability to work in an environment with multiple moving parts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent and prepare executive level communication and articulate business or technical concepts to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop goals and strategy for the Turbolaunch tool.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop and manage a prioritized roadmap of Turbolaunch features.
  • Review and provide input to engineering design documents. Drive sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Ensure timely response to the Turbolaunch customer issues by coordinating with the Engineering team.
  • Lead feature testing and User Acceptance Testing. Create and maintain tooling documentation. Send communications for feature releases. Share Program updates with stakeholders.
