Job Description

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation to support our products. This involves working with various teams to gain a deep understanding of the product and its documentation needs. Key responsibilities include writing user-friendly interface text, online help, and developer guides. The role also involves creating tutorials, analyzing content for reuse, maintaining information architecture, and managing Matific's Help Center by creating, updating, and localizing articles, as well as collaborating with designers and developers to maintain the theme. The ultimate goal is to make our products easier for our users to understand and utilize effectively.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, support teams and usability experts to make our products easier to use.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
  • Create and maintain the information architecture.
  • Maintain Matific’s Help Center:

-Create, update, unpublish and delete articles

-Capture images, gifs and videos to use in articles

-Oversee localization of articles to other languages

-Work with designers & developers to maintain the Help Center theme
