Job Description

As a Territory Manager for Small and Medium Businesses at Google Cloud, you'll be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the adoption of Google Cloud solutions. This customer-facing role requires fluent Japanese and English communication. You'll manage the entire sales cycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet assigned goals and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities include business development, accurate forecasting, and working with Customer Engineers and partners to cultivate opportunities. You'll need to develop and implement regional strategies to support growth objectives, showcasing Google Cloud's productivity and collaboration benefits to SMBs. A strong blend of sales, technology, and strategic thinking is essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in sales, client relations, or account management
  • New business acquisition experience in Cloud/SaaS
  • Fluent Japanese and English communication
  • Manage sales cycle, meet goals, and provide excellent customer experience
Good to have:
  • Experience with cloud transitions (on-premise to cloud)
  • Technical/sales experience in Cloud, Tech, CS, or IS
  • Experience with Google Cloud products (Workspace, GCP)
  • CRM system experience (Salesforce)
  • Channel partner collaboration experience

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in one or more of the following (e.g., sales, client relationship, or account management).
  • Experience in new business acquisition, including in the Cloud, SaaS, Paas, or IaaS industry.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience promoting solutions to help businesses transition from on-premise to the cloud.
  • Technical or sales experience in Cloud, Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience in technology and cloud computing market, and a passion for Google Cloud products (e.g., Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating/co-promoting with channel partners in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage opportunities through the entire cycle, working with cross-functional teams as necessary, and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
  • Deliver assigned goals while prioritizing an outstanding customer experience to customers and prospects.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Work with Customer Engineers and trusted Google Cloud Partners as a critical member of the Sales team to cultivate opportunities with small and medium businesses.
  • Engage and implement regional strategy to support the growth goals.
