Job Description

As an Account Manager for Google's Food/Beverage/Healthcare team in Tokyo, you'll manage relationships with advertisers in Japan. Responsibilities include providing proactive customer service, building relationships with clients and agencies, analyzing data and developing account plans, collaborating with Google product experts to deliver innovative solutions and optimize campaigns, and working cross-functionally to drive client success. You'll be a key advisor and consultant, advocating for clients within Google and leveraging problem-solving skills to grow existing and new business. The role requires fluent English and Japanese communication skills and a minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, and marketing within the digital/media/advertising industry. Experience in the CPG industry is preferred. You will work with some of the world's largest advertisers, helping them develop digital strategies to grow their brands in the evolving digital landscape.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in ‌account management, sales, and marketing ‌in‌ ‌the digital/media/advertising‌ industry.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry/client/agency.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure to client services.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and complete a volume of quality work.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

As the Account Manager for the Food/Beverage/Healthcare team, you will develop and manage relationships with advertisers in Japan. You will be an advisor and consultant, as well as an advocate for clients within Google. You will use problem-solving skills to grow existing business, develop and obtain new business, and support the team with account and market knowledge and other collateral.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Google's advertisers by identifying and solving client problems proactively and creatively.
  • Build relationships with leading clients, media and creative agencies.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance, and develop client account plans.
  • Learn and work with Google product experts to develop and deliver innovative solutions, optimize campaign results, and identify opportunities to increase advertiser investments.
  • Work cross-functionally within Google and collaborate on projects to drive client success.
