This Account Manager role at Google focuses on large retail clients. Responsibilities include building and managing client relationships, understanding business challenges and marketing objectives, achieving business growth goals by presenting Google's advertising products, developing data-driven analyses and recommendations, and identifying opportunities to increase advertiser performance and investment. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, combined with experience in advertising, sales, or marketing. The role involves collaborating closely with clients to create effective advertising strategies across search, video, and mobile platforms, ultimately helping clients reach their target audiences and achieve their business goals. The position is based in Shanghai or Shenzhen, China.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with spreadsheets/analysis and putting together presentations.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think and analyze the needs of clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management and investigative skills.
  • Proven track record in advertising sales and media account management.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of the business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Plan for, and achieve, business growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase advertiser performance and investment in Google solutions.
