Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions will focus on the Alpine market (Switzerland and Austria), managing a portfolio of small businesses. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth goals, establishing client relationships, advising on Google Ads optimization, identifying growth opportunities, and managing risks. This role requires fluent German and English, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to build compelling narratives to engage clients. Success involves exceeding quotas, delivering outstanding customer experience, and achieving marketing objectives. The role entails understanding client needs, developing strategies for reaching target users, and influencing internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising, sales, or marketing, ideally with familiarity with Google Ads and a proven track record of achieving business goals.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • 2+ years advertising/sales experience
  • Fluent German & English
  • Google Ads familiarity
  • Client relationship management
  • Achieve growth goals
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop Certification
  • Experience in Swiss/Austrian market
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Objection handling expertise

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop or similar.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media business context in Switzerland or Austria, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving marketing objectives.
