Job Description

The Account Strategist, Mid-Market Sales role at Google Customer Solutions involves working with businesses of varying sizes to develop and implement successful advertising strategies. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth targets, owning a portfolio of clients, understanding their growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans. The role requires proactive pitching and consulting, driving customer growth through outstanding sales experiences, and overseeing stakeholder management. Fluency in English and German is essential, and experience in advertising, consultative sales, or online marketing is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to build compelling narratives and understand online marketing strategies. They will also be responsible for achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
Must have:

  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in English and German

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently, in order to work in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics and experience managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Germany, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth targets.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee stakeholder management, build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
