Job Description

The Analytical Lead, Apps role at Google involves leveraging measurement methods and analysis to provide business insights and demonstrate media value to clients. Responsibilities include testing via experimentation, sharing learnings, and implementing best practices. A key focus is defining a cross-media measurement standard for accurate performance assessment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, data interpretation capabilities, and excellent communication skills to present compelling stories from data. This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels to solve complex measurement attribution challenges across online and offline platforms and drive sales using digital media. The role requires a deep understanding of client objectives and a commitment to acting as a change agent within client organizations.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in media analytics, advertising, or consulting
  • Data analysis and storytelling skills
  • Knowledge of Google Ads & Analytics
  • SQL and database skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with marketing measurement and attribution techniques (MMM, MTA)
  • Knowledge of automation techniques and dashboard creation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with marketing measurement and attribution techniques (e.g., offline measurement, MMM, MTA, attribution) and Google advertising products (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, etc).
  • Knowledge of SQL, databases, and basic automation techniques (e.g., dashboards, automating custom reports, materializing tables).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and distill them into actionable insights that are presented in a logical and compelling story.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver simple and compelling stories.

Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

In this role, you will understand client objectives and take ownership of solving some of the most cutting edge issues facing our customers today such as measurement attribution across offline and online platforms, deep consumer insights, and identifying quantifiable strategies to drive sales using digital media. You will act as a change agent within the client’s organization, using clear and compelling data points to articulate recommendations to stakeholders at all levels in the organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $84,000-$120,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
