As an AWS Business Development Manager at Zones, you'll drive revenue growth, expand profit margins, and improve partner relationships. Responsibilities include developing and executing AWS-focused business strategies, identifying new sales opportunities, collaborating with sales and marketing teams, providing AWS product expertise, monitoring market trends, and exceeding sales targets. You'll cultivate strong relationships with AWS counterparts and build a foundation for collaboration across the company, leveraging partner initiatives to boost revenue. This role directly impacts Zones' cloud GTM strategy, particularly regarding AWS Marketplace and private offers.

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Business Development Manager at Zones, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, increasing profit margins, and enhancing partner maturity. You will leverage your deep understanding of AWS and the cloud solutions landscape to identify new business opportunities and build strategic partnerships. 
  
This role will be a key contributor in executing the sales GTM strategy for AWS and the ecosystem of products, solutions, and services.  
 
This role requires the aptitude and communication discipline to develop relationships and collaborate with organizational leaders across the company building a foundation for collaboration and leveraging partner initiatives to contribute to our revenue expansion. This will also require skills in leading and developing others outside of the direct organization towards the growth of Zones’ AWS Revenue, Margin, and Customers. Additionally, this role has a direct influence on the evolution of the company's Cloud GTM strategy in relation to AWS Marketplace and opportunities transacted through private offers. 
   
What you’ll do as the Business Development Manager, AWS:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on AWS, product, services, and Marketplace opportunities 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with AWS counterparts to enhance co-sell engagement 
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to increase revenue and margins 
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to create and implement effective campaigns and promotions 
  • Provide expert knowledge of AWS products and licensing to customers and internal teams 
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention 
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics 
  • Quarterly business reviews 
  • Execution and oversight of incentive programs 
  • Weekly update/reporting to Sr. Management on progress/KPIs
What you will bring to the team: 
 
  • BA/BS degree in business administration, information technology, marketing or related field or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the technology sector, preferably with a focus on AWS 
  • Provide weekly executive visibility on AWS sales performance, specifically for Services-led opportunities and solutions, with an emphasis on the field sellers (ATEs, SAs) 
  • Advance and maintain levels of expertise in AWS solutions by attending training, seminars and trade shows to support and service the sales organization and end-user customers 
  • Increase OEM seller contacts; influence leads and contacts through consistent communication 
  • Drive meaningful engagements and field appointments/ customer visits to increase customer counts 
  • Strong understanding of cloud solutions and the AWS reseller ecosystem 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners 
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and achieving sales targets 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be accountable for all deliverables 
  • Sales Revenue/Growth 
  • Gross Margin/Growth 
  • Service/ Solution Attach Rate 
  • Investment & incentive growth 
  • Number of Account Managers selling AWS and via AWS Marketplace 
  • Number of End-user customers buying AWS and via AWS Marketplace 
  • Number of deals registered/closed through co-sell 
  • CRM opportunities assigned  
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $105,000 - $135,000 + bonus.
