Job Description

This Collections Specialist role focuses on effectively assisting in collections within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include making collection calls and correspondence, providing customer service, processing refunds and account adjustments, resolving discrepancies and short payments, monitoring assigned accounts, and performing account reconciliations. The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Additional duties encompass working with sales and senior management to accelerate collections, posting invoices, sending statements, responding to customer inquiries, and generating reports. Experience with high-volume corporate collections is essential, and knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is preferred.
Must have:
  • 2+ years High Volume Corporate Collections experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel)
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
Good to have:
  • Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience
  • Gaming industry accounting experience
  • Understanding of Minimum Internal Control Standards

Job Overview
The purpose of this role is to effectively assist in collections. This position will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Department to monitor and maintain AR records and accounts.
Responsibilities
  •  The duties of a Collections Specialist include collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented collections department.
  •  Providing customer service regarding collection issues
  •  Process check requests for customer refunds.
  •  Process and review account adjustments
  •  Resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
  •  Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts.
  •  Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write-off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos.
  •  Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
  •  Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
  •  Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
  •  Posting of invoices to customer portals.
  •  Sending out statement and invoice copies.
  •  Respond to customers request for assistance with accounts.
  •  Weekly and monthly reporting of aging and collection efforts.
  •  Assist with special projects as needed.
Internal Controls
  •  Document and follow relevant internal controls over financial reporting.
  •  Directly assist subsidiaries and other departments to document and adhere to relevant internal controls over financial reporting for their respective functions.
  Skills/Requirements
  •  Minimum 2 years High Volume Corporate Collections experience.
  •  Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures
  •  Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience a plus
  •  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
  •  Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
  •  Commitment to excellent customer service
  •  Exceptional English communication skills, both written and oral
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
  •  Ability to multi-task and work independently
  •  Proficiency with MS Office Suite especially Excel
  •  Accounting experience in the Gaming Industry and understanding of Minimum Internal Control Standards is preferred.
