The Account Management Team Lead will mentor and guide a team of Account Managers, developing them into strategic customer development experts. Responsibilities include managing and tracking portfolio performance using KPIs, fostering customer retention, driving a positive culture within the department, and providing training. They will also offer guidance through challenging situations within customer portfolios. The role requires advanced relationship building capabilities and strategic decision-making skills, aligning team efforts with organizational goals while handling administrative tasks.
Must have:
  • 5 years of experience in B2C relationship management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in people/team management.
  • Sustaining advanced level relationship building skills.
  • Proficiency using various software and technology platforms, including CRM.
  • Client focused approach with high level emotional intelligence.

Account Management Team Lead

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Account Management team in Toronto and are currently looking for an Account Management Team Lead to join the team. 

In this role you will provide mentorship and guidance to a team of Account Managers or Executives, developing them into a group of strategic customer development experts, capable of fostering and sustaining strong relationships. As a vital part of the leadership team, support initiatives aimed at building and improving the broader Account Management department align team efforts with organisational goals while handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and peak performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize KPIs to manage and track portfolio performance for the Account Management team and develop strategies to increase customer retention
  • Leverage your advanced relationship building capabilities to support your team in making strategic decisions in order to retain our highest value customers
  • Be a part of the collaborative larger Account Management leadership team driving a positive culture within the department and supporting initiatives and projects to drive improvements in the broader department.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by monitoring core Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), spearheading regular account management skills enhancement sessions, and providing subject matter training. Facilitate engaging discussions with your team and their direct reports, focusing on tailored development opportunities to refine their expertise and retain top talent.
  • Offer guidance through challenging situations as they arise within their customer portfolios.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2C relationship management
  • 3-5 years of experience in people/team management
  • Demonstrated internal and external effectiveness at sustaining advanced level relationship building.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using various software and technology platforms, including CRM database management experience.
  • Demonstrates client focused approach with high level emotional intelligence.
