Job Description

As Data Director at Ubisoft, you'll guide strategic decisions using data insights. You'll lead a team of Data Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists, collaborating across departments to improve game development, player engagement, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include developing data analysis strategies, creating insightful reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity, and staying current with analytics technologies. You'll work closely with game development, marketing, and other teams to leverage data effectively. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools.

Job Description

As a Data Director, you will play a critical role in guiding strategic decision-making by providing insights from data. You’ll oversee a team of Data Analysts, Engineers and Scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve game development, player engagement, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Data Strategy: Develop and implement data analysis strategies to support game development and business operations.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Design and deliver insightful dashboards, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision
  • Collaboration: Work closely with game development teams, marketing, and other departments to identify opportunities for leveraging data.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by defining and enforcing governance standards.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest analytics technologies and methodologies, incorporating them into the team's workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Over 10 years of experience in data analytics, including at least 4 years in a leadership role managing a team of analysts, engineers, and scientists.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the gaming industry or a strong understanding of player analytics and game KPIs is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.
