About the job:
As a Data Scientist, Product, Cloud Managed Infrastructure at Google Cloud, you will leverage your expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and querying to drive product development and improvements. You will analyze data, identify patterns, and report insights to influence product features and ensure efficient fleet management. Responsibilities include performing analysis using tools like SQL, R, and Python; reporting key performance indicators (KPIs); translating analysis results into business insights; and conducting feasibility analyses with software engineers and product managers.
Must have:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • 3 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL)
  • 1 year of experience managing analytical projects
  • Excellent statistical skills, including descriptive statistics, experiment design, inference, statistical decision making
Good to have:
  • 3 years of experience in scripting, statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS), developing and managing metrics, and evaluating programs/products
  • 1 year of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Experience in developing data pipelines and working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with cloud products

Minimum qualifications:

Responsibilities

  • Identify patterns and analyze how existing products are used by our customers; you report unusual/creative behavior; you provide quantitative perspective to product owners.
