Onward Search is seeking a Desktop Technician for a 12-month contract (with potential extension) at a Fortune 500 financial services client in San Francisco, CA. This on-site role requires managing and maintaining user accounts, providing comprehensive LAN/WAN, OS, and application support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, recommending repairs, and offering timely technical support to end-users. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software, and documenting support incidents. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in desktop support and system administration, proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing computer systems, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

We’re looking to hire a Desktop Technician for a Fortune 500 Financial Services client. Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.  
 

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Technology team with a proven track record in providing high-level technical support to executive-level users. This is a 12 – month contract + extension. The team is located in San Francisco, CA, and the role is on-site 5 days/week. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.


Desktop TechnicianResponsibilities: 

  • Manages and maintains user accounts, including rights, security, and group memberships.
  • Provides comprehensive support for LAN/WAN connectivity, operating systems, and LAN-based applications.
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves hardware and software issues.
  • Recommends and schedules necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating systems, applications, and network connectivity problems.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all support incidents and resolutions.


Desktop TechnicianRequirements: 

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in desktop support and system administration.
  • Proficient in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Skilled in documenting, upgrading, and replacing hardware and software systems.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • *To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
