Job Description

The DevOps Engineer/Senior DevOps role at Paytm Money requires 3-7 years of experience and involves guiding teams towards continuous integration and continuous deployment. Responsibilities include automating infrastructure and application processes using tools like Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet Enterprise, Nagios, Chef, and Ansible. The candidate should be proficient in Linux OS, shell scripting (Bash/Python), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure/Google Cloud), and CI/CD pipelines. Mentoring junior developers and reporting to management are also part of the role. The ideal candidate is highly driven, proactive, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role focuses on ensuring smooth software deployment through scripting and diagnostics.

Must have:

3-7 years of experience
CI/CD expertise (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Chef/Puppet/Ansible)
Linux OS & scripting (Bash/Python)
Cloud experience (AWS)
Building, deploying, and operating infrastructure & applications

Good to have:

Experience with Azure/Google Cloud
Maven/Nexus experience
Mentoring skills

About the role: Responsible for guiding teams towards continuous integration and continuous deployment; hence, he must have extensive knowledge of the automation tools and their application like Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet Enterprise, Nagios, Chef, and Ansible.

Expectations/ Requirements

* Experience 3 to 7 years of experience.

* Linux OS/application installation and configuration.

* Shell/Bash/Python scripting.

* Experience in building, deploying and operating infrastructure and applications.

* Cloud experience: AWS (Azure/Google Cloud).

* CI/CD tools: Kubernetes, Jenkins/Bamboo/GitLab, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Maven/Nexus.

* Ability to oversee and mentor junior software developers, as well as report to management.

* Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
